United Way Volunteers Prepare Meals for Local Nonprofits

United Way of the Virginia Peninsula and United Way of South Hampton Roads recently hosted two Stone Soup events on Feb. 2. Together, both events created over 1,600 meals for over 5,000 individuals and 34 nonprofit agencies. Hundreds of Women United volunteers and guests game together during the event to convert thousands of dollars of groceries into the meals in only a matter of hours.
